Bhakra Nangal Dam - Bhakra Nangal Dam Situated at Bhakra village of Bilaspur, 116 kms from Chandigarh, the Bakhra Nangal Dam is among the highest straight gravity dams in the world. The Gobind Sagar Lake here is around 90 km long with an area of about 168 sq km. The dam was built in the year 1963. the dam offers a fascinating view of the lake and the nearby green jungles.

Bhima Devi Temple - This celebrated shrine of the Panchayatan group of temples is situated 22 kms from Chandigarh on the Pinjore Kalka Road. The temples has idols dating back to 11th and 14th centuries.

Kalka - Kalka, An important railway station for going into Himachal Pradesh, is located at 25 kms from Chandigarh. The place is also the last point of toy train running from Shimla.

Sukhna Lake - The lake, built on a seasonal stream in Sector 1 of Chandigarh, is one of the favourite picnic and recreation spots for people of the city. The path with its length of 2 kms along the lakeshore is the best place for taking a walk in Chandigarh.

Yadavindra Gardens Situated 24 kms from Chandigarh at Pinjore, the Yadavindra Gardens have been laid out on the lines of the Mughal Gardens of Delhi. The garden gives a mysterious feel with its grey-fringed palm trees, dense groves of trees and shapely cypresses. The watercourses strectching from level to level sparkle in the sunlight and reflects the white shining pavilions and balconies imprinted high against the blue sky. Yadavindra Gardens has some more attraction like Rang Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, and the Jal Mahal.
